Regen Ag Weekend 2027 history
How it all started
The mission of the East Lyme Giving Garden (ELGG) is to fight and impact food insecurity in our communities and to educate the public about regenerative growing methods.
In 2021, a seminar series was initiated through a collaboration between Bruce Cohen, Craig Floyd, Nigel Palmer, Joan Palmer, and Bryan O'Hara. It was clear early on that the level of enthusiasm for this type of growing information was high, and the local seminar series grew under the leadership of the core founders: Nigel, Joan, Craig, Bryan, and Bruce.
Many seminars were delivered over the next several years across sites and state boundaries. With the help and guidance of Ellie Coffey, that work ultimately resulted in the 2026 Regenerative Agriculture Weekend conference at the Armory in Westerly, Rhode Island. With a packed house of more than 180 people, it was immediately clear that the event had outgrown the venue.
We have now created Regen Ag Weekend 2027 at East Lyme High School in Connecticut. The partnership between the conference founders and the East Lyme Giving Garden is a perfect fit, and we hope you will grow with us over the years to come.
